Crowdfunded contaminant testing.
Back independent contaminant testing for everyday products.

Transparency shouldn't be a luxury.
Consumers deserve to know what's in their products, but independent contaminant testing is expensive and inaccessible. Regulatory minimums don't always catch what matters, and manufacturer claims can't always be taken at face value.
Canopy is a crowdfunding platform that lets people collectively fund independent laboratory testing of everyday products—from food to toiletries to household cleaners. By pooling resources, communities can commission the testing they care about and democratize access to product safety information.
Visit Canopy →A platform for collective action.
Canopy's core workflow enables users to create or back test requests for specific products. Each request tracks funding progress, deadlines, and number of backers, creating transparency and urgency around campaigns that matter to the community.
The platform supports advanced filtering by campaign status—Active, Funded, Expired, and Cancelled—as well as by product category and sort order. This makes it easy for users to discover and support the testing initiatives most relevant to them.
Each test request specifies the exact contaminants being analyzed, such as Glyphosate and AMPA, so backers know precisely what their contributions are funding. This level of specificity builds trust and ensures scientific rigor in every campaign.
Verified results, embedded anywhere.
Once a product's testing is complete, Canopy generates a compliant iframe widget that brands can embed directly on their own product pages. Shoppers see the same independent, lab-verified contaminant results—rendered live from Canopy—without ever leaving the retailer's site.
Because the data is served by Canopy rather than self-reported, sellers can't edit or cherry-pick it. The embed turns third-party transparency into tamper-resistant social proof—giving genuinely clean products a credible way to prove it.

Clarity-first design.
The interface is clean and minimal, prioritizing data clarity above all else. Visual progress indicators show funding status at a glance, product imagery helps with recognition, and status badges clearly distinguish campaign states.
A responsive grid layout enables comfortable browsing across devices, and prominent calls-to-action encourage participation—whether backing an existing request or creating a new one.
Democratizing product safety.
Canopy organizes testing across multiple product categories including food, toiletries and cosmetics, clothing, and household cleaners. This breadth ensures the platform serves the full range of consumer concerns, not just a niche.
The crowdfunding model shifts power from manufacturers to informed consumers. Rather than waiting for regulatory action, communities can proactively investigate the products they use every day—turning collective concern into collective knowledge.
