A Better Way To Network

Jobs should find you, not the other way around.

The A Team Project platform

Let's Keep Working Together

Hiring has been optimized into absurdity: algorithms talk to algorithms and great people are lost in the noise.

We co-founded the A Team Project, which starts where job boards stop: trusted referrals, human-aware AI, and careers that find you.

Scope

AI

Human-centric AI job matching

The A Team Project reimagines referrals with modern AI. Candidates start by writing a short referral and meet Fozzie, our human-centric job matchmaker.

We build a living map of teams and opportunities by blending soft signals like referrals and culture fit with hard data such as skills and experience.

When a company shows interest, candidates approve the introduction first—keeping the job search on autopilot, transparent, and entirely on their terms.

Internationalization

Built for Everywhere

Internationalization was architected into The A Team Project from the very first commit. Rather than retrofitting translations later, the entire application was designed to assume a locale-aware environment by default.

We enforced strict constraints at both the code and build levels: no static user-facing strings (including meta content and ARIA labels), enforced parity of translation keys across all locale files, and validation to prevent missing or divergent entries. This guarantees consistency across languages and eliminates an entire class of localization bugs.

As a result, adding or maintaining languages is a low-effort, low-risk operation.

Fun fact: Our cofounder Ed is bilingual and personally authored all of the Spanish translations.

Software Engineering

Thoughtful Engineering

The A Team Project is built on Next.js and Supabase, with user experience treated as a first-order engineering concern from day one. Every architectural choice was made with the goal of reducing friction and increasing joy for job seekers.

For example, one of the largest pain points in job applications is repeatedly entering work history. To eliminate this, we implemented LinkedIn authentication and integrated with enrich.so’s API to securely fetch and prepopulate a candidate’s professional experience at sign-up—dramatically shortening time to first value.

Design

Designing for Diversity

The color token system is inspired by Radix UI’s numeric scale, with light and dark themes automatically adapting to the user’s system preferences. Visually, the design is a deliberate counterpoint to what often feels broken in modern software aesthetics. Rather than relying on AI-generated interfaces and interchangeable, generic styles, this site embraces hand-drawn elements, artfulness, and a sense of joy. Confetti is used liberally.

Because The A Team Project focuses on more thoughtfully weighting candidate pools to improve diversity across gender, orientation, and race, incorporating rainbows into the design was a non-negotiable—both symbolically and visually.
